About Professor Ahmed Ibrahim

Dr. Ibrahim is internationally recognized for his work in the field of fatigue and mechanical properties of thermally sprayed coatings. He was recipient of several ASM Certificates of recognition for his contribution to thermal spray technology. He presented his applied research in thermal spray coatings at the past 10 international thermal spray conferences [1996-2005]. His recent research is focused on mechanical properties of nanostructured coatings.  He serves as a referee for several international materials journals. He is a PI on the NSF grant that was granted to Farmingdale to establish a Thermal Spray Laboratory. Dr. Ibrahim was a NASA fellow at Marshall Space Flight Center (2001). He is a registered Professional Engineer in New York and a member of the ASME, SME, ASM, and TSS.
