About Dr. Ravindra Kumar
I earned the PhD degree in Biophysics from University of Delhi South Campus, Delhi, India. During Ph.D., I developed algorithms for functional annotation, classification and subcellular localization of proteins using machine learning tools. Subsequently, I also developed algorithms for the prediction of palmitoylation in proteins and classification of complex proteins families such as nuclear receptors proteins, beta-lactamase and heat shock protein. I also analyzed the structural trend, solvent accessibility and amino acid preferences of Low Complexity Regions ina protein. I also worked as a visiting scientist at Agricultural Research Organization, Israel, where I worked on system-level perspective of QTL analysis from GBS and RNA-Seq data for improved fruit quality and yield related traits in melon.Currently I am working on machine learning/deep learning-based framework for predicting tumor cell line response to a subset of drug pairs.
I have published 2 book chapters, 18 journal papers and works as an editor, guest editor, review editor, and editorial board member for several scientific journals.
